spawnpoint vs Replit for a team's apps
Replit suits a team that wants to do all its building inside Replit: its editor in the browser, Replit Agent, and publishing in one product. spawnpoint suits a team whose people already build with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Claude chat. They keep their agents, and spawnpoint puts every app online in one place the team owns, for a flat $100 a month.
The prices look alike and work differently. Replit Pro is $100 a month for up to 15 builders and 50 viewers, and the plan comes as monthly credits. Replit Agent's work and publishing are paid from those credits, and an app that stays on around the clock is a Reserved VM, from $15 to $130 a month. spawnpoint Pro is $100 a month for the person who makes the team, with up to 10 members per team and as many teams as they want. Five always-on apps, a database of up to 8 GiB per app, 50 GiB of file storage per app, and AI on open models are in the plan, and nothing is billed by usage.
Sharing is the larger difference. A private Replit app opens for the members and viewers of your workspace and for people you invite from it, and a visitor without access is asked to sign in through Replit. There is also a password option, with one password for everyone. On spawnpoint you share an app with an email address or with everyone at your company's email domain, and each person opens it with a one-time code from their inbox. Nobody makes an account, and there is no viewer limit.
Replit works from other agents too: its MCP server, the connection an agent uses to reach it, lets Claude Code create, update, and publish Replit apps. The app still lives in a Replit workspace and is paid for in Replit credits. spawnpoint's tools work from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Antigravity, and Claude chat, and a team space shares files and skills between the team's agents.
Replit is better when people want to build in a browser with nothing installed on their own computer, when one team needs more than 10 builders, or when an app has to run on a schedule. A spawnpoint app that is not always on sleeps after an hour with no visitors, and the next visit wakes it in about half a minute.
