spawnpoint vs Base44 for a team's apps
If your team builds with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Claude chat, spawnpoint puts every app it makes online in one place the team owns. Each app starts private, the people you share it with open it without making an account, and nothing is metered. Base44 builds apps in its own editor, charges credits for each change its AI makes, and needs a paid plan before an app can be private.
Base44's free plan cannot make a new app private: that has needed the Starter plan or above since February 2026. A public Base44 app also carries an "Edit with Base44" badge, and anyone who clicks it can copy the app into their own account. Hiding the badge needs a paid plan too. On spawnpoint every app is private until you share it, on every plan including Free.
Each person you invite to a private Base44 app signs up on it the first time: they choose a password and type a code from their email, or sign in with Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Apple. To open an app to your whole company, each person first joins your Base44 workspace. On spawnpoint you share an app with email addresses or with everyone at your company's email domain in one step, and each person opens it with a one-time code from their inbox. Nobody makes an account or chooses a password, and you can see who opened the app.
Base44 meters building and running. Every request to its AI while you build uses message credits: about half a credit for a small change and 3 to 4 for a change across the whole app. Sending an email or calling an AI model from the app uses integration credits. Everyone in a workspace shares one plan's credits: Builder's 250 message credits a month come to 25 for each person on a team of 10, and unused credits expire every month. On spawnpoint the building happens in the agent each person already uses, so spawnpoint does not charge for it. Pro is $100 a month, paid by the person who makes the team, and covers up to 2 teams of up to 10 members each. The members don't pay, and nothing is billed by usage, including AI on open models.
Base44 lets Claude Code, Cursor, or ChatGPT work on an app only on Builder and above, through its MCP server, the connection an agent uses to reach it. spawnpoint's tools work from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Antigravity, and Claude chat on every plan, including Free, and a team space shares files and skills between the team's agents.
A Base44 app is built from Base44's own parts, and its server code runs as functions that stop after five minutes. A spawnpoint app is whatever your agent writes: a page, a Python or JavaScript server, or a program in any other language, on its own machine with a folder that keeps its files. The agent gives it a database, file storage, or AI on open models when it needs one, and all of it is in the plan.
