When a Claude artifact should become a spawnpoint app

Keep a Claude artifact when it is a page or a small tool for people who already use Claude. Move it to spawnpoint when it needs a server, more than 20 MB of saved data, files such as photos, or viewers who do not have a Claude account. The move happens in the same conversation: connect spawnpoint to Claude once, then ask Claude to put the artifact on spawnpoint.

Artifacts are the quickest way to make something in Claude, and sharing is built in. On Pro and Max you can share an artifact by link or invite people by email, and on Team and Enterprise you can share it with your whole organization. Everyone who opens a shared artifact needs a Claude account. An artifact can save data on paid plans, up to 20 MB of text per artifact, and an artifact that uses Claude or connects to your apps cannot be shared by link.

A spawnpoint app has its own machine. It can be a page, a Python or JavaScript server, or a program in any other language. On Pro each app can have a database of up to 8 GiB, 50 GiB of file storage for photos and documents, and AI on open models. You share it with email addresses or with everyone at your company's email domain, and each person opens it with a one-time code from their inbox, with no account on Claude or anywhere else. You can choose its address, such as lunch-orders.spwt.app, or give it your own domain.

A spawnpoint team keeps a company's apps in one place. Coworkers who sign in with the same company email join the team, every member can open the team's apps, and the apps stay online when the person who built them is away. Not everyone on the team has to use Claude: the same team takes apps from Codex, Cursor, and other coding agents.

To connect it, open Claude's Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://app.getspawnpoint.com/mcp. Then ask Claude: "Put this artifact on spawnpoint and share it with everyone at acme.com." Claude sends the files, spawnpoint puts the app online, and Claude gives you the link.
